Since August 2000, Lilly has offered a variety of distance learning programs for K-12 students, Library Patrons, and older adult learning. These programs target areas in research, health, chemistry, biology, engineering, information technology, and career planning. Employees volunteer their time to share their knowledge and experiences as well as foster careers in science with participants.
Lilly can virtually visit multiple classrooms global-wide that have distance learning capabilities to share knowledge that cannot be achieved in the traditional classroom.
How to enroll
To view a list of our distance learning programs, or to enroll in a program, please visit the Center for Interactive Learning & Collaboration (CILC) web site (www.cilc.org). All programs are scheduled and viewed through the Indiana AVS Network. Participating sites outside of this network may also view programs (see CILC site for more details). Note: We are unable to schedule distance learning programs by request. Please check the CILC website for program dates and times.
Program Costs
There are no program fees. However, participating sites are responsible for their own line charges to connect to the program.
Educational Standards
National and Indiana State Standards have been applied to Lilly’s distance learning programs. For a more detailed description of our programs, or a list of standards, please refer to the CILC web site.
